Hi, I'm Sally Stacey and I am a student at Ivybridge Community college in Devon, UK.

In July 2014 I'm hoping to participate in a four week expedition to Tanzania, Africa. This expedition will include many community development projects, such as building schools and helping to teach children English. It will also include wildlife conservation, for example digging water holes for elephants. And I will be undertaking my PADI open water diving course.

However, the main objectives of my expedition will be to raise the educational and living standards within a rural district of Tanzania and to assist with ongoing wildlife conservation programmes to help vulnerable habitats.

It all sounds fantastic but there's a barrier - the cost of my expedition is £3,840. So, for the next 14 months I will be organising and participating many fundraising events to raise my expedition cost.

I hope you find my blog interesting and that you'll follow my exploits. If you have any ideas about how I can raise money, please let me know. I'll try and do some of the more stupid ones - as long as you sponsor me!
